JB power spearheads 1 GW solar power deal
JB Power entered into an agreement with ReNew Power and CleanTech as an eco-system partner. As part of a unified project for the Himachal Pradesh government to generate 150 MW (ReNew Power) and 100 MW (CleanTech Solar) of solar energy respectively.
According to Girish Bhayana, Co-founder & CEO of JB Power. “The project marks a defining chapter for our integrated energy platform that spans the entire value chain from land procurement, engineering feats, financial assessments, and O&M. The support for the development of 1 GW Solar facility is our contribution and commitment towards clean and green energy in India.”
The deal was signed by the Principal Secretary Prabodh Saxena on behalf of the state government, with the presence of the honorable Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
Himachal Pradesh CM. Jai Ram acknowledged that the state would benefit immensely from renewable energy sources and committed to facilitating JB Power to obtain permissions and clearances to get the project underway.
The solar plants would be located at the Una and Kangra districts and will be fully operational by 2021.
