INTEC International GmbH is located in Hechingen near Stuttgart, Germany. It has been developing hardware and software solutions for technical IT since 1979. INTEC supports its customers in the manufacturing industry by offering a large portfolio of specialized Industry 4.0 solutions and services, for example, the standard connection of machines through our MEP suite of products consisting of a combination of data collection hardware, software for optimization of data flows and real-time visualization including cyber-secure remote services.
Research and development are an essential part of the INTEC strategy. Technical innovations with a high potential for profitability are the results of this strategy. All our products are built to enable creation of a digital twin. Our latest product is a dust sensor for predictive maintenance and management for the cleaning of solar panels in various solar plants.

MEP®DS Solution for Solar Energy Industry

INTEC International utilizes industry 4.0 certified products for capturing data from solar installations to monitor, analyse and predict key performance KPIs. This product is well-established and used by major players in energy and manufacturing industry.
After many years of R&D, the INTEC team developed a dust and energy sensor solution called the MEP®DS, which integrates with the MEP suite of IoT products. Based on years of experience working with solar companies this box has established itself as a yield enhancer. MEP®DS recognizes energy loss due to dust, rain, snow or the failure of individual Solar Panels / Photo-voltaic elements. The system enables both reactive and predictive error detection in photo-voltaic systems.

MEP®SmartDevice Suite of Solution

The MEP suite of IoT solutions are a powerful and open standards solution which helps perform predictive maintenance, performance monitoring and realize other Industry 4.0 / Digital Twin use cases. The system consisting of a communication EdgeGateway, a MEP®SmartDevice with the MEP®DataRecorder takes care of most capital shop-floor and field assets.
The MEP®SmartDevice has a high-performance quad core processor with standard interfaces that are separated to allow local and remote networks to access. The hardware is designed to be as maintenance-free as possible. For example, there is no battery to supply the integrated clock with electricity. Instead, a capacitor is used that can supply the clock for up to two weeks if external power fails
